The Bendix-built “SWC” was handcrafted in the early 1930’s by Bendix and Studebaker engineers.
The “SWC” stood for “Steel Wheel Corporation,” a fictitious company created so that Vincent Bendix’s automotive customers would not think he was competing with them.
The SWC was built entirely by hand, and features Bendix-built brakes, radio, axles, and carburetor.
